3D printing
Printed parts, picked per job
Two print processes under one roof. Resin for fine detail and smooth surfaces, FDM for larger, tougher and cheaper parts. Where a bore, a face or a thread has to be accurate, see CNC + SLA hybrid.
- Choose resin when
- Detail under 0.5 mm, a smooth cosmetic surface, or a part smaller than your hand
- Choose FDM when
- Size, cost or toughness matter more than surface finish
Which process?
Send the part and we will tell you. As a rule, resin wins on detail and finish, FDM wins on size and price per part. Both print overnight, so the lead time is usually the same.
Resin (MSLA)
Resin printing
For small parts that need fine detail and a smooth surface, including static-dissipative resin for work near sensitive electronics.
Typical work
- Housings and enclosures for small electronics
- Fit-check and assembly models
- Small ESD-safe handling parts
- Patterns for casting
What we need from you
An STL or STEP file. Tell us if a surface needs to stay smooth, so we can plan where the supports go.
FDM
FDM printing
Filament printing for larger prototypes and shop-floor parts where cost matters more than a fine surface.
Typical work
- Machine guards and cable guides
- Assembly jigs and locating blocks
- Large prototypes and mock-ups
- Static-safe trays in ESD PETG
What we need from you
An STL file. Tell us which direction takes the load, so we can orient the layers to suit.
Materials we print
Anything else, such as a specific resin brand or a filled filament, can be ordered in. Ask when you send your quote.
